Let me tell you about Dr. Kristine Baker.

In the spring and summer of 2002 I had two surgeries to remove a brain tumor. During a surgery, a cranial nerve was damaged leaving the right side of my face paralyzed. My mouth could not smile and my eye could not close completely. The neurologists and neurosurgeons I consulted said that nothing could be done, it would not get any better, and that I would have to live with the condition.

In the fall of 2004 I met Dr. Baker through a class at Logan College of Chiropractic, where I was a student. Dr. Baker offered to treat me with acupuncture at her office. I was willing to try anything to regain my smile and have my facial muscles work better. With weekly acupuncture treatments, I noticed the results almost immediately. My smile began to work better, I had less difficulty drinking from glasses or bottles, my stress level was reduced, I felt better than I had in a long time and, for the first time since brain surgery, I was able to whistle again. This was amazing to me. After all of the neurology experts had told me there was nothing that could be done to help my condition, something as simple and natural as acupuncture was giving me almost immediate and very impressive results. The newest medical technology and knowledge could not help me at all, however a technique thousands of years old was doing exactly that!

Dr. Baker is my miracle. Her caring ways and knowledgeable hands have helped me when no one else would. When I moved away from the area, I tried another acupuncturist and did not get as good results as with Dr. Baker. She has changed my life and I thank God every day that I met her and that she cared enough to help when no one else would.
